Thinking about why i love portraits with a dash of fashion and attitude

Every month Dorothy gets a handwritten note in the mail from her Aunt and Uncle in Seattle. The sheer excitement that comes over her when she receives her letter is pure bliss. This past week when she received her letter I could not help but think about the letters that I have saved over the years; letters from my grandma, my Nana, letters sent to me in college from my mom, sweet little notes from my dad, love notes from Evan – all sentimental in their own right. Whether they have come in the mail or were left on my night stand, they all have been saved and when read can spark a memory from when they were written – the handwriting left on the paper speaks a million words, every last letter written with love.
For these notes I am thankful. Which has led me to the conclusion that I need to send more letters; handwritten letters from the heart. So friends and family – keep an eye on your mailboxes, tell your local mailman, letters and Polaroids are on on their way. All written by hand, every letter crafted with love; all for you.
Grab a pencil, a little piece of paper and send your note today – with love.
