What can I expect on a photo shoot?
We take a photojournalistic approach to photography with a healthy dose of creativity , concept and execution. This all translates into never having to yell “say cheese!” Or “look like your having fun!” Mostly we want to capture you in the most honest and authentic light possible and we wont stop until we get it.
How long will my session be?
We may want so spend some time talking to you before hand so we know exactly who you are and what makes you tick. Typically we like to shoot for 1.5 to 2 hours of actual photography time. We find that this gives you an opportunity to get used to being in front of a camera, and allows you enough time to let your true colors to shine through in the photos. It may be longer or shorter though.
Can I bring a change of clothes?
Yes! We find that variety is the spice of life. In our average time frame there is usually enough time for 2 outfits. Anything beyond that may make awesome photos but can push us beyond 2 hours. Contact us and let us know ahead of time so we can plan for nailing those other shots.
Can we go to multiple locations?
Again variety is the spice of life but could push you into a longer session. Again the more advance notice the more we can accomadate.
How many pictures can I expect to get out of the session?
It depends. Not specific enough for you? We will deliver all the shots that speak to who you are and we will give variety as is on film. Most importantly we wont stop shooting until were satisfied that we can deliver a quality gallery to you and your family.
Do you have any wardrobe suggestions?
Leave the matching white shirts and shoes at home. There are lots of ways to coordinate and style yourself without making you look like a Gap Ad. We love when people bring things that are meaningful to them. Wear your favorite t-shirt and throw on your favorite blue jeans. Bring the instrument you play, bring your favorite coat or scarf, bring your favorite photo, or people. The more you connect with the surroundings the more meaningful your photos will be.
Can we view our proofs online?
Yes. When were done editing your photos we’ll pass you a link to your very own, password protected gallery. This way you can choose who you want to share your photos with.
How do you go about selecting proofs?
After we’ve completed your photo shoot we immediately download and backup your photos. We will then go through and make selects of the very best from your shoot. From there we edit, color correct, and export your photos for uploading them to your online gallery.
How do you know when a photo makes the cut?
The old adage of “a photograph is worth a thousand words” is how we chose our photos. If it doesn’t speak volumes to who you or what your shoot is about we wont bother you with it.
