This shoot had been on the books for a while and when Monday came it brought rain, wind, and all around ugly weather. We were stuck inside, shut off from scouting any cool new locations and forced to stare out a window all week at the wet world outside. We spent the entire week crossing our fingers, apparently 20 fingers to cross is a good combo, and by the time Saturday came we awoke to puffy white clouds, bright golden sunshine, crisp fresh air, and lush green grass. We could not have dreamt of a more beautiful day. As we trekked around Clovis we were constantly reminded of the beauty around us, and the wonderful new things a year can bring; new blossoms, a new spring, a new love. We hope you enjoy this little engagement shoot as much as we did!

A Bunch of Somedays

With 2010 off to a kick and January almost over I can’t help but start to think, where is 2010 going? In light of the feeling “oh man, life is passing me by” I decided to write out a list of “somedays”; where I see my life going in the future.
In no particular order of accomplishment here they are:
Someday I will not depend on caffeine to start my day
Someday I will always remember to take my vitamin; yes sometimes I forget mom.
Someday I will read more books
Someday I will watch less TV
Someday I will own a dress I love
Someday I will own a dress
Someday I will be a mother to a teenager
Someday I will own a pair of heels that are red on the bottom
Someday I will finish the roll of saran wrap I got 8 years ago
Someday I will be ok with going to bed before 10pm and waking up at 6am
It has been so wonderful to see such a positive response to our new love, Houndstooth and Caroline. We are having a blast, dreaming, creating, and being ourselves. We are trying to keep it updated with not only current projects, but also things we find that we love and encourage us to stretch our creative muscles, to create more, and dream bigger.

Here Comes the Sun
